ATHLENOTE TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an Athlenote account, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

Athlenote is a journaling platform for athletes that uses AI to help track and reflect on mental and physical performance through text, voice, and structured input.

3. Account Requirements

To use Athlenote, you must:

• Be at least 13 years old
• Provide accurate account details, including your name, email, phone number, and date of birth
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential

You can sign up via:

• Manual registration (email + password)
• Google or Apple login

4. Subscription and Payments

Athlenote offers:

• A 7-day free trial
• Monthly and annual subscription options
• Payments handled securely via Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and RevenueCat

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.

5. User Content

You own the content you submit. By using the app, you give us permission to:

• Process your content with OpenAI and other services to generate summaries and performance insights
• Store and display your content in the app

We may in the future use aggregated, anonymous insights for community features or performance benchmarks.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

• Upload or generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content
• Misrepresent your identity
• Attempt to hack, interfere with, or reverse-engineer the app

Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

7. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time in-app. This permanently removes your personal data and journal entries within 30 days.

8. Limitation of Liability

Athlenote is provided "as is". We are not liable for:

• Loss of content or access
• Injuries or consequences based on app-generated insights
• Errors or outages in third-party services (Firebase, OpenAI, RevenueCat)

Use the app at your own discretion.

9. Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, unless local laws require otherwise. You agree to resolve disputes through the appropriate South African courts if needed.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll notify you in the app when changes are material. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
